Mike & Mike gathered for Happy Hour at Jim & Min's.

Never a dull time when the 4CU members get together and this was a whopper! 27 or so Airstreams gathered in the desert of Quartzsite, AZ for Thanksgiving. I arrived the Sunday prior, home was boring, hanging out with the other early birds was a blast. Early morning Bloody Mary's with Jim & Min, afternoon entertainment provided by resident musicians Mike & Paul, evenings around the fire, now that's what I call livin'! Other trailers trickled in one by one, day by day our camp grew bigger with much fan fare and enthusiasm. I can't tell you how grateful I am I found this amazing group of people who love to take their shiney silver trailers on the road for good times. We deep fried 3 turkeys, had all the fixin's, set up a nice outdoor dining area where we could all sit down together to enjoy the feast. The weather was perfect on Thanksgiving Day, sorry to all the folks back in Seattle and other places who didn't get a wonderful tan while eating their dinner. I say buy an Airstream and come to Quartzsite next year, you won't be disappointed!

Next stop Picacho Peak State Park down near Tucson for New Year's Eve Rally. Another event not to be missed. For now the traila "Lucy" is tucked back into her spot at the storage place, cleaned and ready to roll down the road at the end of the month. I am settled in here at home to do some serious knitting, have 3 orders to fill before the end of the year....yippee gas money to get me to Picacho!

In full swing planning the Western Women's Spring Rally for March 2010...this year Lake San Antonio, CA is the destination where we wild women will celebrate the return of spring.
