Spring has Sprung!

I am so happy to be home! Usually I have a trip coming up or am planning another adventure. Today, right now I don't even want to think about going anywhere. Arriving back home after my annual two week trip to California in March it hit me...I don't spend enough time at home. The funny thing is I LOVE my house, my hood, my life here but I seem to always be going somewhere. There is a peaceful feeling knowing I am so prefectly happy just being. I don't need to be going going going. I grew up making my own entertainment and am never bored, restless sometimes but never bored. April 1st came around and I made the decision to stay home, spend time doing things I love here. Such as knitting, my yarn closet over flowith! I have so many projects and yarn stashed I could probably knit to my hearts content for 6 months and not need to buy a skein of yarn. Books, I love to read and don't take enough time to do it, so sad. Then there is my tv and movie addiciton, glue city.
Last year I had to hire someone to take care of my yard because I was gone. This year I am taking so much pleasure in doing it myself and have some ideas for making changes. I've always enjoyed gardening and that has taken a back seat to my travels.
The point is I need to take time to breathe! Reconnect with myself and what really makes me happy. Right now that is my oasis in the desert and I couldn't be happier.
